The Institute for Educational Administration & Leadership- Jamaica (IEAL-J) is a Virtual Institute. It was founded in October 2012, and is a registered educational charity in Jamaica, funded by private donations, targeted fund-raising and Membership Fees.The IEAL-J is the National Affiliate of the Commonwealth Council for Educational Administration & Management (CCEAM). It is an Institutional Member of the International School Leadership Development Network (ISLDN) – a global network of researchers interested in social justice and educational leadership located in multiple countries.The IEAL-J has signed Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with the University of Technology, Jamaica (UTech), the University Council for Educational Administration (UCEA) in the USA, and the University of the Commonwealth Caribbean (UCC) to collaborate in areas of mutual interest, in particular, in capacity-building and research skills development.
